Help save New Mexico history--
New Mexico's history is being saved through the efforts of people
like you. Your support of the Rio Grande Historical Collections helps
to build and maintain the archives and manuscripts program at New Mexico
State University Library. You will enjoy associating with others
who share your concern for the preservation of New Mexico's documentary
heritage. Your contributions help offset the costs of locating, collecting,
and preserving papers and photographs, and of making them available to
researchers. Monetary and in-kind gifts may be tax-deductible.
Other benefits of being a friend of the RGHC are receiving the annual calendar,
special prices on services, invitations to special functions and meetings,
and a particularly warm welcome when you visit the search room.
Another way to help preserve New Mexico's history is through donation of materials. If you have, or know of others who have papers, including operating records, correspondence, diaries, memoirs, manuscripts, journals, account books, photographs, maps, pamphlets, tape recordings, or related documentary materials please contact us. We will be pleased to discuss our program with you and answer your questions. By providing responsible, professional care of materials in all formats, the RGHC offers donors the security of knowing their documents are safe from the elements, fire, and careless handling. By cataloging these materials and making them available to researchers, the RGHC gives donors the satisfaction of having contributed to the documentary record of the New Mexico experience.
Please use our Researcher Request form or contact the RGHC by telephone or email.
